Novak Djokovic began his Wimbledon title defence in style, easing past Pedro Cachin in straight sets.
Playing on Centre Court, the Serb overcame the Argentinian, winning 6-3 6-3 7-6 (7-4) in the First Round.
His biggest obstacle of the day came in the form of the weather as despite the closed roof, the rain saw proceedings halted after completion of the first set.
Djokovic dabbed the grass with his towel and comically urged the crowd to ‘blow’ during the delay before play could resume.
The seven-time Wimbledon champion then made easy work of Cachin, twice breaking his serve in the second set and winning the tie-break in the third.
He will face Jordan Thompson in the Second Round after the Australian came from behind to beat Brandon Nakashima.
The match will take place on Wednesday.
