Alexandre Lacazette scored his 50th Premier League goal in a routine 3-0 win for Arsenal over Sheffield United.
The 29-year-old finished off a slick, free-flowing move on 33 minutes and completed his brace five minutes from time to reach the landmark.
In between the two goals from the Frenchman, Gabriel Martinelli doubled the Gunners’ advantage on 71 minutes, scoring his first goal since January 2020.
It was a straightforward contest for Mikel Arteta’s men against the lacklustre Blades, under the charge of interim manager Paul Heckingbottom, and the win saw them climb above Leeds United into ninth.
Arsenal can now look ahead to Thursday and a gruelling Europa League quarter-final second leg away to Slavia Prague.
The first leg finished 1-1 with the Czech side scoring a crucial away goal in the 94th minute.
The North London’s side task will be made even more difficult if they are to be without Bukayo Saka who was forced off at Bramall Lane after 69 minutes with a knee injury.
Meanwhile Sheffield United have only won one of their last nine in the league and remain rooted to the bottom of the table, 18 points adrift of safety and with relegation looking inevitable.
